Plan of the class
This class meets Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. The material fails roughly in to two categories: Algebra and Trigonometry. In this section we will cover the two parts concurrently: algebra on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Trigonometry on Fridays.
Homework
Electronic Homework using the WeBWorK system will be assigned at the end of each class. You are required to complete the homework within 7 days of the assignment. The homework will be graded automatically and will count for 10% of your grade. You can access the homework page for this class here: Spring 2017, MATH 06 WeBWorK
Grades
Your grade in this class will be determined as follows: There will be homework, and several quizzes (approximately one every other class), both in-class and take-home, two in-class midterms, taking a whole session each, and a final exam. The homework counts for 10% of your grade, the quizzes count cumulatively for 10% of your grade, the midterms count cumulatively for 40% and the final exam counts for the remaining 40%. In sum:

However, in order to pass the class it is required that you receive a passing grade in the final.
Tutoring lab
Tutoring help for all math classes is available at the Department's Tutoring Lab. They are located in CP 303 and are open 10 AM to 8 PM Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 5 PM on Fridays, and 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
