Syllabus
The departmental syllabi, as well as review materials are available in the Math department webpage: Math 35 Description
Note that the textbook we're using is different.
Textbook
We will be using: Vector Calculus (6th ed.), by J. Marsden and A. Tromba. There is a copy of the older 5th edition of the book, in reserve at the library. The 5th eidtion is also suitable, but we'll be officially following the 6th edition.
For the linear algebra part we'll losely follow A First Course in Linear Algebra, by Robert Beezer. The book is freely available online in the address above.

Grades
Your grade in this class will be determined as follows: There will be homework, two in-class midterms, taking a whole session each, and a final exam. The homework counts for 20% of your grade, the midterms count cumulatively for 40% and the final exam counts for the remaining 40%. In sum:
Homework | 20% |
Tests | 40% |
Final | 40% |
Homework
Homework will be suggested after every class. You can see that in the lesson plan above. Additionally, at the end of every week, I will be giving homework that you have to turn in.
