NORMAL DISTRIBUTION TOOL
This is a great tool! Use it to help you on the problems, though eventually you should be able to do the problems without this tool.

Note: In the below discussion and problems, a "Standard Normal Distribution" is one with MEAN = 0 and STANDARD DEVIATION = 1.

Accompanied Reading: From Andy's Book , read the introduction to Section 4.4 - pages 71 to 73.

Video: Normal Distribution with Excel

Exercise: Assume that x has a normal distribution with mean 4 and standard deviation 2.
Find P(x < 3) and P(x > 6) and P(3 < x < 6).
Do this using Excel, just like it was done in the previous video.
Also do it using the Normal Distribution Tool above.

Video: Inverse Normal Distribution

Exercise: Find the x such that 10% of the normal curve (with mean 4 and standard deviation 2) is to the left of x.
Also find the x such that 10% of this normal curve is to the right of x.
Do this using Excel as in the last video.
Also try doing it using the Normal Distribution Tool above.
